Baptism
WHAT IS BAPTISM?
Baptism is a simple, beautiful act of obedience that Christians have practised for thousands of years. It’s a public declaration that you’re choosing to follow Jesus.
Going under the water symbolises sharing in Jesus’ death; coming up again symbolises sharing in His resurrection. It marks the beginning of a new life with Him.
“Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you”
Matthew 28:19-20
